Flip book technology is the system that allows digital publications to be created that look much like the original printed versions of magazines, catalogs, and books. The page layout is the same, normally using the same PDF pages. Software is applied that stacks the pages in the publication in the proper sequence and facing direction. Then, a flash animation is created that gives the appearance of turning the page when someone clicks a button, drags a page, or other means of changing. The software generates animation that allows users to flip through pages in either direction and to choose a page they wish to view. The end result is an electronic version of a book, magazine, or catalog that is as pleasant to view as the printed version. The page turning function makes it more closely resemble the printed version.
